"I really loved him as a man": Ewan McGregor was a little bit "in love" with film maker Danny Boyle.
Actor Ewan McGregor admits he is a bit ‘‘in love’‘ with director Danny Boyle because of the work they did together at the beginning of their careers. The 40 year-old star has worked with the movie maker on British films Shallow Grave and Trainspotting which kick-started both their careers and made them famous in Hollywood.
Ewan McGregor, who also made A Life Less Ordinary, with Danny Boyle, insists he will never forget what the director did to help him.
“It ended after A Life Less Ordinary which is a great shame. There’s a lot of water under the bridge since then. I loved him. I was really kind of in love with Danny. I’d look across and see him and I’d be very happy that he was there. It wasn’t a sexual affair, but I really loved him as a man. I had such admiration for him.”-the actor praised the director.
Ewan McGregor’s career continued to go from up with him appearing in the Star Wars, prequels as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Although he enjoyed being in big budget movies, the actor prefers working on low budget independent films, like when he and Danny Boyle started out.
