He began acting in the 1970s, playing a supporting role in Looking for Mr. Goodbar, and a starring role in Days of Heaven. Gere’s mother, Doris Ann (née Tiffany, born 1924), was a homemaker, and his father, Homer George Gere (born 1922), was an insurance agent for the Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and had originally intended to become a minister. Gere is their eldest son and second child. His career was somewhat resurrected after the release of both Internal Affairs and Pretty Woman in 1990. He began acting in the 1970s, playing a supporting role in Looking for Mr. Goodbar, and a starring role in Days of Heaven. in 1967, he graduated from North Syracuse Central High School, where he excelled at gymnastics and music, playing the trumpet. Gere’s status as a leading man was again solidified, and he went on to star in several successful films throughout the 1990s, including Sommersby (1993), Primal Fear (1996), and Runaway Bride (1999) which reunited him with his Pretty Woman co-star Julia Roberts. People magazine named Gere the “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1999. Gere co-starred with Diane Lane in the romantic drama Nights in Rodanthe, released in 2008.

And again, Rihanna did not disappoint her fans when she performed in Brazil for the first time. The Barbadian beauty recently took some time out from her busy schedule and went on a short trip to the small Italian village of Portofino, after performing at the V Festival in Essex.

"SAO PAULO I love you! I will definitely be back!!!" Rihanna promised her Brazilian fans.

Dressed in black fish net stockings and a black and white leotard, clinched in at the waist with a belt, Rihanna looked very sexy and confident while performing. This was her first visit to South American country.

“SAO PAULO LET’S DO THISSSS!!! #LOUDtourBRAZIL”-she tweeted just before the show.

Critics have said although her stage presence was good (we don’t doubt it) with good dance routines, her singing was not impressive at all. Many of them said Rihanna should stick to singing Reggae-inspired music like her hit ‘What’s My Name‘ and ‘Man Down‘. Dance and pop are not “her cup of tea.”

As for the fans Rihanna is always a goddess. The Loud Tour is the fourth by the artist who vowed to visit more than 20 countries in America and Europe.

Rihanna, who is recording a new album, took her Loud Tour to Brazil for the first time.
