24 Movie Starts Shooting in April 2012

The long anticipated 24 movie is set to begin shooting next spring.

It has been confirmed, a big screen version of the mega popular series 24 is set to begin filming in April 2012. And of course Kiefer Sutherland will reprise his role as Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) agent Jack Bauer in the movie.

20th Century Fox are said to be hoping that writer Mark Bomback will sumbit a new screenplay next year, meaning they will be ready to start shooting the 24 movie in April 2012. The film version of the Fox’s long-running action drama has been in development since the end of 24’s eighth and final season last year. The 24 movie has been in the pipeline for the past few years, with Sutherland giving some hints about the plot of the in a previous interview:

“It’s going to be a two-hour representation of a 24 hour day, so we were not going to be restrained by the real time aspect of the TV show. This will be different – it will be very feasible to get from Eastern Europe to England in the course of 24 hours! And the crisis can be more personal – it doesn’t have to be a huge bomb, it doesn’t have to take out the rest of the world.  It’s very exciting!.”-the 44 year-old actor said.
