Kate Hudson Launches Chrome Hearts Jewelry Line

Kate Hudson Launches Chrome Hearts Jewelry Line in which she teamed up with co-owner Laurie Lynn Stark to model some of the new pieces in the September 2011 issue of Elle magazine. The collection style is based on a “stylistically to the 1970s vintage pieces that Hudson collects.”

One of the main centerpieces of this collection is a pearl and gold seashell necklace, which was inspired by an heirloom choker that Goldie Hawn, Hudson’s mother, gave her for her twenty first birthday. Hudson states, “It was one of the first pieces I ever remember my mother wearing and it was like, Wow, I hope one day I get to wear jewelry like that.”

Hudson also went on to talk about how her parents raised her and her brother. She hopes that she can do as a good job as they did. “We’ve definitely had lots of talks about parenting and being a working mom. She never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom, though. My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment. I hope that I can do as good a job.”
