In December 2009, Farley began appearing on Jersey Shore as she and seven other housemates spent the summer in the Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
Prior to Jersey Shore, Farley owned a graphic design business, Jenni Farley Designs, Inc. The second season was filmed in Miami, Florida, while the third season returned to New Jersey. After four months of operation, the line ceased sales in October 2010 due to a threatened trademark lawsuit.
She first came to prominence as one of the eight main cast members in the MTV reality series Jersey Shore. A fourth season of the series was filmed in Florence, Italy. As of June 4, 2011, MTV has given a green light to a fifth season. Executive producer SallyAnn Salsano, who previously worked on A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila, devised a new concept, inspired by her summers in a Jersey summer share house. Rather than wait until the next New Jersey summer for Season 2, the production moved to Miami. It would follow all of the first season cast as they “escape the cold northeast and find themselves in a new destination”. The second season premiered on July 29, 2010 and made the show the highest-rated series in MTV’s history.
