Johnny Depp Talks About The “The Rum Diary” & Justin Bieber. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters tomorrow (October 28th) and is highly anticipated by many Depp fans. This film is full of action and drama and stars a wonderful collection of actors such as Amber Heard and Aaron Eckhart. The film takes place during the 1950s and is about an American journalist [Depp] who is named Paul Kemp. He was offered a freelance job located in Puerto Rico for a local newspaper. During the film, Depp’s character struggles in finding a certain moral balance between the ex-patriots and the island culture who all live there.

Amber Heard also revealed during a interview that she loved working with Depp and that no other job could possibly compare to the experience she had working on this film, “I’m in a 1958 Corvette convertible on an empty highway. It’s a beautiful spring day in Puerto Rico. And I’m making a movie with Johnny Depp. He’s a beautiful specimen of a human being. It was a wildly, wildly seductive combination. That moment quite possibly has ruined every other job for me.”

Continuing on with his press tours, Deep stopped by the “The Late Show with David Letterman,” and during the interview Letterman asked Depp if his daughter was a Justin Bieber fan. Depp responded, “Oh, yes she does. But I’m not sure if anyone’s daughter doesn’t.” Letterman asked if the two have met since they are both in the show business and Depp stated that he has met the young man and that he’s “a very sweet kid.”

Depp and Bieber met during one of Bieber’s concerts and Depp’s daughter, Lily Rose, really wanted to attend the concert. So, he purchased tickets and passes and that is how they met. He also expressed that it was “astonishing” to see his daughter in a “frozen” state while meeting the young singer. Depp went on to tell the story that while during a press conference for his movie “Rango” one of the journalist had asked him if he was a “Bieleber” and he was confused and had thought that the guy might have had something in his mouth and was asking if he was a “believer.” Then it hit him what the man was asking so he said that has a fan, to which in about “3 seconds later” Bieber had walked in.
