The production meant to highlight the most prominent names in entertainment, sports and pop culture for 2011. Since Barbara Walters started announcing the awards in 1993, the show has garnered much praise and popularity, consistently resulting in its place as one of the highest rated specials of the year.
While appearing on the Late Show With David Letterman Tuesday night, the interview icon referred to the time she spent with Kardashians and explained why she finds them fascinating:
“They were the first ones we interviewed and we did them in September. We said, ‘Anything going to happen?’ No, no, no, you can do it now because nothing’s going to happen.’ Then Kim gets married. Then Kourtney gets pregnant. Then Khloé’s moving to Dallas. They’re pretty woman, they’re glamorous and they don’t know private from public. And they’re part of a family one for all and all for one that people relate to.”-Barbara Walters said.
